Final round of matches in open Touch competition
Mele Poaru plays for Nikz in the open women's competition.

The final round of the Cook Islands Touch open men and women’s division matches will be held this afternoon at the National Stadium.

Touch president Julz Westrupp said: “All four teams in both men and women divisions are good so it will be exciting to see who comes out victorious.”

Fixtures – 5pm Field 1 Men Nukz Power-KAPs, F2 M GAT-Atiu Warriors; 5.30pm F1 W Nukz Power-Bounty Hunters, F2 W FBI-Nikz.

Meanwhile in last week’s mixed games, a lot of tries were scored in all the matches played.

Outlaws took out the game against the Young Warriors but the score was close 9-6. “Very good play by the Young Warriors as they have all U18s.”
The surprise game was between 007 and J Squad. 077 has a lot of experience but the flair and patience of Viiga Reupena a took his team to win with a score of 9-8.

In the final match of the day two Mitiaro teams – Nukz Power and Mighty Arrows – battled.  Again Mighty Arrows being young and only having U18s players almost pipped the seniors with a 3-all draw.
