Secretary for Health Bob Williams says there will always be an ongoing recruitment at TMO for specialised clinical roles and clinical support.
In an earlier report, Williams said that from July to December last year, Te Marae Ora had 33 staff, including nurses, concluding their employment.
The reasons for their departure were for studies and training opportunities, end of contract and returning overseas, migration due to family priorities and better remuneration packages offered either from in-country and/or overseas employers.
Williams also stated the ministry would be looking to get more nurses from Pacific Island neighbours to cover the vacant and skilled positions.
