Now that I’ve established this fact I’m ashamed to have witnessed the most appalling treatment of visitors by the police staff who take the money from tourists for their Cook Islands drivers licences.
Today I stood in a line of eight people waiting to be called in for the process to be completed. At 2.07pm, we waited more, and then waited some more. . . The door was then shut firmly without any notice, the office was closed.
Those standing just ended up looking at each other. Then I realised … being the local, the sign, office hours 9 to 2 pm.
Is this the way the public sector treats customers? Yes it is!
If they had to exist in the competitive real world of customer service they wouldn’t make it.
They would be fired.
Yours Sincerely,
Bad service watch
