LETTERS: ‘Rubbish not picked up’

Dear Editor

It is with some regret that I have turned to your newspaper in order to bring attention to selected items of rubbish not picked up on our Tuesdays rubbish collection. Local neighbours in our vicinity take the time to select and separate tins, plastic and bottles into specific containers but as the picture provided show they do not get collected.

Previous when T&M were approached, I was told we need you to report to us when this happens. The other day I did this explaining the items were separately sorted so why weren’t they picked up? I was told they will attend to it, then about an hour later the big blue rubbish truck drove past without stopping so the rubbish still sits there.

Don’t the rubbish collectors want us to sort the items separately?
