Accountancy skills workshopped

The Business Trade and Investment Board (BITB) of the Cook Islands has helped some small to medium businesses learn some much-needed accountancy skills.

BTIB in partnership with KPMG held an accounting business training session for 12 participants, which involved preparation of Profit and Loss in addition to the Balance Sheet to assist them in not only their everyday business financials, but to capture information in preparation for their end of year filings and reporting.

Key facilitors were Simone Fe’ao, Director of KPMG with over 20 years experience, together with  auditors James Cargill and Edwina Piri. 

A spokesperson for the BITB  said the “postive response received from participants toward this training is evident that our people are eager to learn and upskill their knowledge for the purpose of starting, growing and expanding their business”.
