After 15 weeks of consistent football games the teams today will be fighting for a spot at semis next week.

In the Tower Insurance Premiership at Matavera field, Puaikura FC and Titikaveka FC have found themselves in a life or death situation, where only one team can come out on top.

Puaikura has had their highs and lows through the 2021 season, with Jarves Aperau and Paul-Luiz Van Ejik experience it is no doubt that this team will pack in a punch for Titikaveka today. With these two stand tall at the back there is without a doubt that they will aim to prevent any penetration in their wall, while on Titikaveka ends young talent like Nuku Mokoroa and Joseph Tuaputa have to stay fearless when attacking these two if they want to gain any meters infront of them.

Puaikura forwards Dwayne Tiputoa and Davida David, will need to find a way to weave their way through Titikaveka’s mid-field Akiona Tairi and John Karika before gaining a shot at the back of the net. Each side will need to play their part and take it up a notch in today’s match, if they want to gain a step further into the semis.

While in the village over Avatiu will take on Matavera to gain their ticket into the semis, seeing as today are do-or-die matches, it is without question that the intensity of these games will be through the roof.

This women’s division has shown multiple fiery competition throughout the season, and today will be a game of wit and skill, as all teams will want a chance to seat themselves on a spot in the semis finals.

For the U18 men, Tupapa Maraerenga will go head-on with Titikaveka, and Avatiu and Matavera to see who will take a seat to play in the semis. For the BSP U15 Girls, Matavera will play Titikaveka, and Nikao Sokattak plays Tupapa Maraerenga and the curtain drawer for today’s matches will be the U15 BSP Boys, starting with Titikaveka and Tupapa Maraerenga challenging each other at Matavera field and at Titikaveka field Puaikura and Matavera will fight their final battle.
