New surge in visitor growth

Rough sea conditions at Avatiu yesterday meant the visiting cruise liner Paul Gaugin had to disembark passengers at Arorangi. Pictured are crew from the ship, which is a frequent visitor to Cook Islands waters, helping passengers climb from a ship's tender on to the jetty. Most passengers spent the day exploring the island and taking part in various tourist activities. The Bahamas-registered ship operates mostly in the South Pacific. 17071913
