In the High Court on Thursday the Police prosecution asked to withdraw a charge against Nigel Hoeflich of threatening to kill, based on a lack of evidence.

Hoeflich had faced three charges: threatening to kill, resisting arrest, and common assault.

Justice of Peace, Georgina Keenan-Williams, accepted the prosecution’s withdrawal of the charge of threatening to kill.

Through Hoeflich’s defence counsel, Wilkie Rasmussen, a guilty plea was made for resisting arrest and common assault.

Prosecution said sentencing only needed to take place with a JP.

Georgina Keenan-Williams has set the matter for sentencing at a later date.
