Hundreds of locals, tourists and even visiting footballers joined together to Clean Up the Cook Islands yesterday. Some companies and government agencies gave their staff time of work to help with the clean-up. Environment Service senior officer Moana Tetauru said if past years were an indicator, the clean-up could have gathered up as much as five tonnes of garbage.
