Cricket umpires plan for NZ umpire arrival
Local umpires set to be up-skilled. 14091204

HE RAROTONGA Umpires Commission meet today to finalise plans for the upcoming visit of New Zealand Cricket umpire David Tidmarsh. Forty three year old Tidmarsh is a former Northern Districts first class cricketer and fast riser on the New Zealand umpires ranking. Tidmarsh will spend a week on Rarotonga delivering Level 1, 2 and 3 umpires and scorers courses aimed at up skilling club scorers and umpires. Umpires Commission coordinators Nauma Atiau and Oliver Syme advise that the Umpires Commission will be making contact with local clubs early next week to discuss courses times and venues. Syme and Atiau encourage anyone interested in learning more about umpiring and scoring to attend this evenings meeting.The meeting is scheduled for 7pm in Matavera opposite Tokerau Jim’s.
