Saturday 11: The week long Cook Islands Games wrap up today with a handful of codes finishing their competition followed by the games closing ceremony.

The games closing ceremony will be held at the National Auditorium with all teams urged to make the effort to be at the event. The ceremony will begin at 6pm with all teams to assemble at the Penrhyn Hostel.

A guard of honour will be formed by Avarua Primary School students for the arrival of prime minister Jim Marurai and Queen’s Representative Sir Frederick Goodwin.

The closing ceremony programme will include the

lowering of the Cook Islands Games flag by the Arorangi Boys Brigade. - Matariki Wilson
