Seventeen-year-old Arama Jubilee is carrying the weight of the nation on his young shoulders as he is expected to do great things in the boxing ring at the Delhi Commonwealth Games.

The young boxer will face his Nauru opponent in the super heavyweight class at the Talkatora Stadium.

Jubilee is confident ahead of his bout and if he wins, he will head into the quarterfinal of the weight division.

And for the record, Jubilee’s father Arama Nooroa is in fact full Aitutakian and not half Tahitian as reported earlier.

Jubilee’s bout is scheduled at around the same time the national netball team takes to the court for their third game of the Commonwealth Games.

They will face England, who will be reeling after a close loss to the Silver Ferns on Thursday.

The mama and papa bowlers will continue their roll up in the lawn bowls competition with the singles to start early next week.

Yet to compete are weightlifters Luisa Peters and Sirla Pera who are scheduled to lift on Saturday and Sunday.
