Sevens returns to heaven

The Cook Islands International sevens tournament, presented by CITC, will grow this year to include 16 men’s teams and up to eight women’s teams.

The tournament will take place over three days from November 4. Organisers have fielded new interest for this year’s competition including two teams from out of Victoria, Australia. 2009 saw the Sevens in Heaven 20th celebration with New Zealand sevens legend Eric Rush playing a big role in presenting of the tournament as the sevens ambassador.

Organisers are looking forward to a big field of local teams in both the men’s and women’s competition.

Plus the dash for cash and dress up competitions will ensure that sevens fans can make the most of the three day event with prizes and cash to be won through the fun events.
