Top volleyball clashes promised

Some interesting match-ups have been drawn up for tonight’s week five of games in the Vonnia’s Corporate Volleyball 6 on 6 competition.

For starters the threatening and high scoring CITC Smackdown team will take on Te Aponga Sparkz in tonight’s first round of games and this is sure to be an action packed game.

The Smackdown crew, who are currently in second place on the leader board, have consistently maintained a top five placing in the competition while the Sparkz can throw up a surprise or two for their opponents.

Current competition leader the Turtle Diggz team will take on Telecom in what should be an evenly contested match while third placed team the Stingers will need to bring their boarding passes as they face the Airport High Flyers.

Teams are reminded that games at the Telecom Sports Arena will start on the hour 5pm, 6pm, 7pm, 8pm and if you fail to be on court with your team five minutes after the start of games you forfeit the game.

If you manage to get on court within the five minutes, you will be penalised and five points will automatically be added to your opponents score.

So be on time and spike into the action and if you need an energy boost – the volleyball food store will be open and stocked with everything you need to ace your serves!
