Noo’s Bar signs on as a sponsor

Raro Fried Chicken and Noo’s Bar at the Avarua harbour have come to the party and signed on as a 2010 Vaka Eiva Bronze Sponsor for the event scheduled to be held between November 19 and 26.

Raro Fried Chicken owner Teokotai ‘Noo’ George is thrilled to be part of the island’s biggest sporting event and promises to continue his sponsorship of the event in the future.

His business happens to be located at the Avarua harbour which becomes paddling and party central during the week of paddling what with the Vaka Eiva headquarters and gold sponsor Trader Jacks also located at the harbour.

“We are one big family now,” comments Vaka Eiva coordinator Victoria Dearlove.

George says that he has always wanted to be part of the paddling family for some time and earlier this year – he signed on as one of the major sponsors for the inaugural Tama Aito paddling races.

He now continues his support of paddling in the Cook Islands as a bronze sponsor for Vaka Eiva.

As part of the business’s sponsorship – Noo’s Bar will host a party and island night kaikai on Thursday, November 25, after the Round Rarotonga mixed V6 race.

This party is for paddlers and the general public who want to mix and mingle with the paddlers and supporters.

The big Vaka Eiva wrap party will be held at the harbour and Trader Jacks on Friday 26th after the Round Rarotonga race for the Pacific Cup and Pacific Paddle trophies.

And for those who will still be partying from the Thursday island night – Noo’s Bar and the Tahitian community on the island will host a Tahitian night for all on Saturday 27th.

With the support of sponsors – the 2010 Vaka Eiva Festival is sure to be another hugely successful paddling event.
