The Cook Islands Rugby Union welcomes you back to the CI International Sevens Tournament presented by CITC – the 21st annual version of this great event.

This year’s festival has expanded with the entry of 16 Men’s teams and 9 Women’s teams and with it presents the exciting challenge to organisers, officials and volunteers to once again exceed expectations.

For the first time on the international stage, a Cook Islands Women’s sevens team participated at an IRB tournament at the Asia Pacific Women’s Sevens Tournament in October 2010.

We may well witness the rise of a Cook Island woman star this weekend.

We especially acknowledge the continuing rugby sponsorship by CITC of our local competition, and now of our showcase event :the CI International Sevens.

To all our sponsors, thank you for your support of rugby, the community and our environment.

Thank you to all players, officials and spectators for being part of a wonderful competition and festive occasion.

We anticipate another exciting arrival of yet another champion team this year and wish you all the best for an injury free and successful tournament.
