Tussle at top

The touch rugby season will become more intense as teams jostle to secure a top spot before the season grand finals on March 7.

Today will see the open men and women’s teams play out their games while the mixed touch rugby teams will do battle on Wednesday.

In the men’s division – the Vikings and Rama match on field two is sure to be an action packed match as these two teams both have a ‘never say die’ attitude.

The Germinators take on team Bigboy while the Kamikaze Bullets will rumble with the Flying Ducks.

The Atiu Warriors are on a bye this week.

In the open women’s division – the young TSL team will take on FBI while the experienced Bounty Hunters match against team Can’t Touch Dis is sure to be a thriller.

Paradise Pearls will meet the Kamikaze Heat in the last women’s game of the night.

Monday 14 (open men division on field two) – 5.30pm Vikings vs Rama, 6.00pm Germinators vs Big Boy, 6.30pm Kamakize Bullets vs Flying Ducks, Bye-Atiu Warriors, (women’s division on field one) – 5.30pm TSL vs FBI, 6.00pm Bounty Hunters vs Can’t Touch Dis, 6.30pm Paradise Pearls vs Kamakize Heat.

Wednesday 16 (mixed division draw) – 5.30pm on field one TSL Schnappers vs Westpac, 6.00pm on field one Vikings vs Dog Rockers, 5.30pm on field two 007 vs Educationalists, 6.00pm on field two Kamakise Fighters vs Nukutere College.
