With just four weeks before the grand finals of the main basketball season games are tightening up as teams jostle for top spots.

In last weeks games, the Eke girls took on The Devlins in what was an evenly contested game in the first half with both sides scoring basket for basket.

However, the Ekes managed to stretch the lead by 4 points at the half time break (15-11).

The second half was a see-saw match but the Ekes seemed to always be 3 to 4 points ahead.

A crucial 3 pointer from Rereao Vano for the Ekes towards the end of the game put the game out of reach with the final score 34 to the Ekes and 22 to The Devlins.

Due to 2 players in the Yachtie Hotties being out of uniform, they suffered a 10 point penalty in their match against the A-Town Girls.

A-Town played casually and still managed to put up 21 points.

With the half time scores 31 to A-Town and 11 Yachtie Hotties, the Yachties started to find some form with 8 straight points.

However, the A-Town girls were too strong with the game ending 63 to A-Town and 32 to Yachtie Hotties.

Airport Jets had to conserve energy as they had no subs against the Club Philippines Raro team.

What the Philos lacked in height they made it up with speed.

As the half progressed, the Airport Jets were too tall and too strong racking up 33 points against the Club Philippines Raro team 12.

Airport Jets dominated the second half to win the match 66-35.

The match between the Hot Dogs and the Philos was a tight match from start to finish with both teams struggling to gain any kind of lead.

Both teams played excellent defence keeping the overall score relatively low.

With both teams unable to get the edge over the other, the game ended in a 22-all tie and both teams were happy with the result, with a draw being preferred over a loss.

The final match of the evening between Rentraro and Roaster Hire was another closely fought game.

Roaster Hire maintained a 2 to 3 point lead for the majority of the game however towards the closing minutes of the second half, Rentraro hit some crucial shots putting them in the lead with just 3 minutes left on the clock.

Roaster Hire tried to re-group and regain the lead but they were unable to do so as Rentraro held onto their lead to win 32-28.
