Pearls to tangle with Dragonflies

Week five of the club netball season will see Ngatangiia take on the fast improving Arorangi club and Takuvaine take on tough contenders Tupapa.

Top club Titikaveka will face off with Avatiu and the premier grade match between these two clubs should see sparks fly.

Both clubs featured in last year’s grand finals with Titikaveka coming out comfortable winners to continue their domination of the club netball competition over the past decade.

This will be the first time this season these two clubs face each other and fans can expect an action-packed game.

The Tupapa premier grade will also be another team to watch as they’ve gone from strength to strength this season.

In the first week of games – Tupapa proved to be a handful and gave Titikaveka a scare. Although the Pearls won that match 66-59, Tupapa proved they were a force to be reckoned with.

The club went on to take a win by default against Ngatangiia in week two, upset Avatiu 60-52 in week three and took Arorangi to task 59-53.

However Takuvaine is sure to put up a fight as they will be smarting after last weekend’s heavy defeat at the hands of the Titikaveka Pearls.

All games will be held at the Telecom Sports Arena starting with the baby netters at 11am.

All players and officials are urged to check your draws as there have been changes made to game times – especially on court two.

Clubs are also urged to make sure umpires are available to officiate games.

All are welcome to head to the Telecom Sports Arena and support the girls.
