Volleyball heats up

Two volleyball teams hit triple digits on Wednesday night in round three of the BCI social mixed volleyball tournament at the Telecom Sports Arena.

Team OKA, who have lead Pool B since the start, registered 102 points against opponents TKV1 who managed to rack up 85 points against the hot shot side.

Team Ruks scored the next three digit score notching up 101 points in their match against the WACKeez who scored 73 points.

Other games on the night were just as competitive with team Fiji Me edging out an ever improving BCI Real Steel side 92-80, while the Aremango Sharks felt they were on for their first win but opponents Tokoroa Pride had the edge and won the match 83-77.

Turtles Fani is another team on the rise with improved games each week and although they lost to Party Rock 76-85, the side still had a great time on court.

Leading the points table in Pool A is team TKV2 followed by Tokoroa Pride, Kick Ass, Fiji Me, Aremango Sharks and BCI Real Steel.

In Pool B OKA continue to dominate the pool with team Ruks climbing to second followed by team WACKeez, Party Rock, TKV 1 and Turtles Fani.

Teams will return to the Telecom Sports Arena next Wednesday for round four of the 10 week competition.
