Rarotonga optimist sailors are in full training ahead of the Rarotonga Optimist Championships to be held from June 2 to 4.
Training for silver and gold fleet sailors will be held on Thursday after school but those wanting extra coaching have the opportunity to have one-on-one training sessions at the Rarotonga Sailing Club.
National sailor and 2010 coach of the year Junior Charlie will be running individual training sessions on Tuesdays and Wednesdays after school.
These lessons will be an hour on the water and a maximum of two people.
Each lesson is $5 per person per lesson and those wanting to take up the awesome opportunity for their kids to improve their sailing can contact Charlie on 70858.
The Queen’s Birthday weekend Rarotonga optimist championships will be another great opportunity for parents to get out on the water and see their kids in action.
There will also be a regatta in Aitutaki in July with details of this event still being ironed out.
