The BCI Stadium and Nukupure Park in Ngatangiia are the two venues to catch the rugby union action this week as clubs play out their games postponed from the weekend.

At the BCI Stadium this afternoon the Avatiu Eels and Takuvaine Reds senior A team will go head to head in what should be a fiery match.

The match kicks off at 4.30pm refereed by Junior Takairangi assisted by Phillip Strickland and Tutai Taurarii.

Also at 4.30pm, the Ngatangiia-Matavera Dragons senior A team will host their fellow country cousins the Titikaveka Bulls team at Nukupure Park.

This game is set to be a thriller with the Dragons leading the senior A competition while the Bulls will want to get their train back on the winning track.

This game will be refereed by Tua Ngaputa and assisted by Paul Peyroux and Tangi Toa.

Tomorrow the Eels and Reds return to the BCI Stadium for the under 19 clash kicking off at 4.30pm.

This match will be refereed by Tutai Taurarii assisted by Bishop Bishop and Poso Ngaroi.

Meanwhile at the weekend the Tupapa Panthers snuck in a tight one point 23-22 win against the powerful Arorangi Cowboys.

The Cowboys dominated throughout the entire game and just as they seemed to get into celebration mode – the Panthers pounced with a last minute try to clinch the match against the guttered Cowboys side.

Both top sides were sharing the number two spot on the points table and the win inches the Panthers ahead of the Cowboys.
