It’s all on for grand finals!

Passionate and intense netball games were played during the weekend’s ‘do or die’ semi final competition which saw teams put their all on the line for a spot in this coming weekend’s grand finals.

In the under 10 division Avatiu beat Ngatangiia-Matavera 14-7 and booked their place in the grand final against Tupapa who beat Titikaveka 25-3 in their semi final match.

In the under 12 division Tupapa will meet Avatiu in next week’s grand final after Tupapa beat Titikaveka 16-7 and Avatiu beat Ngatangiia 16-8.

Tight tussles were seen in the exciting under 15 grade where Titikaveka edged out Tupapa 28-24 and Avatiu trounced Arorangi 38-16 and the two grade winners will meet in next Saturday’s grand finals.

Nail biting games in the junior open grade had spectators on the edge of their seats with Tupapa nudging out Avatiu 34-32 and Titikaveka comfortably winning against Arorangi 44-16.

In the competitive reserve grade, Titikaveka beat Tupapa 47-35 and Avatiu thrashed Ngatangiia 60-36 for an interesting grand finals matchup between Avatiu and Titikaveka this coming Saturday.

Games in the premier grade semi finals were full of sparks as Tupapa and Avatiu faced off on court one while Titikaveka met Takuvaine on court two.

Scores were goal for goal in both matches early on but Avatiu managed to keep Tupapa at bay to win 42-35.

Takuvaine fought well to keep in touch with Titikaveka early on but the classy Pearls pulled away to win comfortably 52-37.

It’s all on this Saturday for the club netball grand finals at the Telecom Sports Arena.
