Active kids encouraged

The first day of the ‘Active Kids’ programme in Muri was smooth sailing as 30 kids met to spend the morning with Junior Charlie at Rarotonga Sailing Club.

Well armed with a selection of sports gear, Charlie ran a great session of team sports and rest with some sailing thrown in.

It was a beautiful day on the lagoon with plenty of sunshine, a lovely cooling breeze, and adequate shade under the ironwood trees for rest periods.

If you are thinking of heading to the programme tomorrow, remember to bring a hat, some sun screen, drinks and snacks. Cold water will be provided.

The day’s activities kick off at 9am and run through until 1pm. It costs $10 per person, with funds raised going towards the junior sailing programme.
