Kumete sports start

The annual Kumete inter village Queen’s Birthday athletics programme rolls into action today with the round island cycle race starting at 3pm.

All cyclists are asked to be at the start line opposite Raviz Indian Restaurant in Avarua by 2.30pm to register to race for your village before the drafting race starts.

Track and field events will be run on Monday at the BCI Stadium starting at 8.45pm with the village of Avatiu the defending champions of the Kumete trophy.

Don your village colours and make your village the 2012 Kumete champion.
