Under 13 Cowboys rule their grade

Rugby fans have another weekend of exciting age grade rugby to look forward to as the CITC pre season tens competition heads into grand finals.

At Avatiu, games were hotly contested between the Eels, Titikaveka Bulls and Takuvaine Reds with the Eels and Reds fielding under 13, under 16 and under 19 teams.

Titikaveka only managed to pull together an under 19 team – a side that dominated the age grade at the swamp.

Meanwhile – results have been received from games played at Ngatangiia between the hosts, Arorangi Cowboys and Tupapa Panthers.

The Cowboys ruled the under 13 grade with the mini Cowboys edging out Ngatangiia 10-7 before registering a confident 31-5 win over Tupapa.

Tangire Mokoroa was the standout player of the Cowboys under 13 grade.

In the under 16 division – Arorangi won the only game played in the age grade beating Tupapa 46-0.

And in the only under 19 game played – Tupapa beat Arorangi 17-7.

Ngatangiia was unable to field an under 16 or under 19 teams for the days games.

Arorangi will host this Saturdays pre season grand final at Raemaru Park where there will be more exciting games played out on the field.
