Tupapa’s Victoria Park will play host to today’s football contest featuring the under 14 boys and senior womens’ divisions scheduled to kick off at 4.15pm.

Puaikura’s senior women are currently leading the 2013 season senior womens’ championship on goal difference over Nikao Sokattak.

Puaikura will go head to head against Tupapa Maraerenga who is trailing close behind.

Puaikura goal scoring sensation Linade Unuka will no doubt keep that up for her side with the support of Shannon Livingstone and defender Tasha Dean who directs her team’s play. Tupapa Maraerenga will feature speedster Rai Nganu in the forwards and is likely to cause problems for Puaikura’s defenders with the combination of midfielder Elizabeth Harmon and Mii Piri, who are currently in second place.

Today’s proceedings will commence with the under 14 boys category at 4.15pm followed by the senior womens’ championship at 5pm.

Friday’s Lotto Premiership mens’ clash between 2012 champions Tupapa Maraerenga and Puaikura will indeed showcase determination and be an exciting football match between these two top sides that promise to be a festival of football for all followers of the game.

This much anticipated clash will provide an intriguing uncertainty with Puaikura facing Tupapa Maraerenga whose performance thus far has been average and will fancy their chances of toppling Tupapa.

Unquestionably, both outfits feature strong forwards with the likes of Paavo Mustonen for Puaikura and Campbell Best for Tupapa.

In the mid field area the combination duo of Grover Harmon and Rhys Ruka will likely cause a nuisance for Puaikura’s youngster Kimi Samuel and Sheik Shah.

All in all Friday’s clash is predicted to be an interesting one and vocal supporters will no doubt rally together to support their club.
