The 2013 club rugby grand finals kicks off this Friday with the CITC senior B grade grand finals between the Titikaveka Bulls and the Avatiu Eels.

To accommodate the Bulls Seventh Day Adventist players all their matches this season have been played on Friday including this week’s grand finals match which will be played on Friday at 4.30pm at the BCI Stadium.

These two teams have met twice this season with the Bulls winning both matches.

In this particular grade and after round-robin competition the Cowboys were actually seeded in 1st place, the Bulls in 2nd, with the Eels in 3rd place.

So as a guide – the Bulls defeated the Cowboys 10-9 two weeks ago to secure their spot.

And then last weekend the Eels defeated the Cowboys 15-7 to win their way into this week’s finals.

Could the Bulls weekend off upset their ‘timing’?

Be at the BCI Stadium on Friday at 4.30pm to find out.

Players to watch for in the Eels are their ex-CI national reps in fullback Bruce Goldsworthy and first 5/8 Ben Maaka and their speedy wingers Joe Hoeflich and Matt Pierre.
