Basketball is set to get a big jump on the 2014 season with the annual New Year’s tournament to be held at the Telecom Sport Arena on Thursday, January 2.

It is expected to be a popular draw card, with returning families and of course staunch local players wanting to strut their game and lose some Christmas kilos at the premier TSA facility.

Cook Islands Basketball Federation is seeking interested teams and players to participate in the one day mixed tournament.

However, the tournament will only be an eight team draw format – so you’ll need to hustle on offence and cement your team’s place in the tournament.
