Football’s knockout finals kick off today

The 2018 CIFA Knockout Cup title will be on the line today when the U-8 mixed, U-11 mixed and U-17 Men’s teams square off at the CIFA Complex.

 

The finals are now set for the under 8 mixed divisions with Avatiu and Nikao Sokattak getting the ever valuable win and also with the U-11 mixed teams, Titikaveka and Avatiu advanced to the finals following their game winning performances on Wednesday afternoon.

No one can deny that the teams deserve to be here, after a great show of consistent class throughout the Knockout Cup Competition.

The Puaikura U-17 Men’s team faces a bit more of a challenge in taking on top-seeded Tupapa Maraerenga.

Tupapa Maraerenga won all three matches when the two met this year, however, Puaikura proving to be tough opponents

Against Tupapa tomorrow, it is expected to be an entertaining match-up as the youth from the west side will do all that they can to emerge as the 2018 Knockout Cup title winners.

The two teams have progressed through to the finals after eliminating both their opponents in the semi-finals last Wednesday afternoon.

This match will be a showpiece event raising the curtains for a thrilling knockout finals competition this weekend.
