The Avatiu senior women’s soccer team will look to improve their position in the Round Cup Competition standings this afternoon when they play Titikaveka at 5pm match at the CIFA Complex.

The pressure will be mounting on Titikaveka, who will need to come away with at least a point from this fixture if they want to keep pace with the Tupapa outfit.

Coach Theresa Tatuava will use her key players to shut down any attempts by Avatiu.

Avatiu will need to play their own game and put away any chances they get, while making sure to stay watchful on the counter-attack and in defending.

Both teams fancy their chances of progressing with a win.

In the under-14 boys, Avatiu will face off with Titikaveka. Both teams will be focused on winning today.

Friday will see the U14 girls play followed by the premier men’s division between Avatiu and Titikaveka.
