The Tupapa Maraerenga premier men’s side will host Avatiu at Victoria Park this afternoon in the feature match of the Rarotonga Football competition.

 

Clashes between the two sides have produced some spirited encounters and with so much riding on the outcome of today’s meeting, it is sure to be an all-action affair.

The battle between them in the opening round was an intense one and ended in a 1-all draw.

Tupapa Maraerenga should have the advantage playing at home and the momentum seem to be on their side. A win here will put them a step closer to the title whilst for Avatiu, they will be looking to get the three points to lift them off the bottom of the table.

If Avatiu are to claim the maximum points, a creative partnership will be needed vital from the defenders through to the midfielders and strikers.

With seven more rounds to go, the visitors will be hoping to put on a much consistent performance and a favourable result against title favorites Tupapa Maraerenga would prove a great platform to build on.
