A large number of children turned out for the village of Arorangi to take part in the Just Play village festival which was held a fortnight ago.

With a total of 70 children, an increase of forty-two percent from the previous festival held within this village, it was evident the children were excited to get the opportunity to join their friends and play.

Along with the activities delivered by soccer, cricket and rugby the children learnt the importance of water.

“Water for Life, it is so important to help you grow just like your plants, we don’t feed our plants with fizzy drink to help nurture and grow them, we feed them with water and we must do the same with our bodies,” says Just Play’s Michelle Paiti

For the 70 boys and girls who braved the extremely windy conditions this is the important social message they discussed to help plant that seed to help improve their lifestyles for the future, before being rewarded with a rare appearance from the scorching sun for the afternoon of fun activities and games.
