Former national football rep Tuka Tisam has been appointed the coach of a Fijian side playing in the top football league there.

 

Tisam, who is completing his postgraduate education in Fiji, has been announced the new coach for Suva FC.

Known as the capital city side, Suva FC plays in the super premier division of the Fiji Football Association competitions.

It is based in Suva and their home stadium is ANZ Stadium, formerly known as National Stadium.

Fiji Broadcasting Corporation’s reports Tisam will take over from interim coach Riyaz Ali who will now mentor the youth team.

Suva president Ritesh Pratap told FBC, Tisam was no stranger to the team as he was part of the capital city side during the Battle of the Giants last year.

“Tuka (Tisam) is basically a very experienced coach holding A License certificate in coaching.”

Tisam, 31, the former Cook Islands midfielder, played for Nikao Sokattak and Puaikura in the domestic league.
