Age-group rugby teams on Rarotonga tour

Two age-group rugby teams are arriving into Rarotonga this week to play against the local clubs and school teams.

Kaitaia College 1st XV from Northland, New Zealand, arrived yesterday, while the U12 Collaroy Rugby Club from Sydney, Australia is expected to jet in this Friday.

Both teams will be billeted at the Edgewater Resort and Spa.

The Kaitaia College XV will play their opening match against our U18 Country XV this Friday, before taking on the U18 Town XV on Monday next week.

In the final match, the visitors will play Tereora College on Thursday at the BCI Stadium.

The Collaroy Rugby Club U12 side will start their campaign against the Arorangi U12 side this Saturday, with the second match between the two teams scheduled for Monday next week.

The side will also take part in the Rarotonga Primary Schools Viva Sevens Tournament on Wednesday next week.

Kaitaia College: Friday, July 6 – Kaitaia College v U18 Country XV at Ngatangiia Field at 4.15pm; Monday, July 9 – Kaitaia College v U18 Town XV at Avatiu Field at 4.15pm; Thursday, July 12 – Kaitaia College v Tereora College XV at BCI Stadium at 1.15pm.

Collaroy Rugby Club: Saturday, July 7 – U12 Collaroy v U12 Arorangi and other clubs invited to this mini tournament at Arorangi Field; Monday, July 9 – U12 Collaroy v U12 Arorangi and other clubs invited to this mini tournament at Arorangi Field; Wednesday, July 11 – U12 Collaroy will be a part of the Rarotonga Primary Schools Viva 7s Tournament at Arorangi Field from 8am, as a wildcard entrant.
