A great line up of Cook Islands and international teams will provide plenty of exciting action during this year’s Vaka Eiva festival.
Showing passion, dedication and commitment to her sport, Serena set her sights high in 2015 with her bucket list goal “the Molokai solo”, the prestigious Kaiwi channel crossing, a 55km ocean race from the island of Molokai to Oahu recognised as the ultimate endurance race for paddlers and the world championships of long distance OC1 outrigger canoeing.
Continuing with the annual tradition, the Business Trade and Investment Board (BTIB) is all set for another year of Go Local Trade Day which starts today.
Excitement is building for another year of paddling feast at the Matson Vaka Eiva 2016 which kicks off this afternoon with the event official opening ceremony.
WHILE attention will be on the open men’s and women’s feature races at the Matson Vaka Eiva 2016, a lot will be at stake for the young and upcoming paddlers in the week-long event.
