The Cook Islands paddling team will be no pushover in the inaugural IVF Va‘a World Distance Championships which starts today in Tahiti.

Cook Islands paddlers travel to Tahiti to represent their islands against the best in the world.

Top female paddler Serena Hunter is hoping to add to her impressive resume when she competes in the Te Aito Tahiti and inaugural IVF Va’a World Distance Championships in Tahiti next month.

Te Aito Cook Islands 2017 winners Esben Torget and Serena Hunter are looking forward to representing their country in the Te Aito Tahiti and inaugural IVF Va’a World Distance Championships in Tahiti next month.

Rain, low visibility and wind welcomed the first race of elite singles paddler event, Te Aito 2017, on Saturday last week.
