While funding has been secured for the national women’s basketball squad to attend the Basketball Polynesia Cup in Samoa starting next weekend, the men’s squad is stuck in a funding limbo.

Experts probe for lagoon issue

To help find a sustainable solution to improve the Muri lagoon water quality – experts from two Australian universities are on the island conducting a series of lagoon and land based tests to build a better picture of the Muri environment.

To connect the water sub-main from private and commercial properties to the new ring mains around Rarotonga, Landholdings Ltd have been awarded the contract to undertake these commissioning works (pipe connections) starting in early 2018.
