Seventeen teams took part in the event, with the Ministry of Health fielding three crews in their first corporate paddle race.
The challenge was eventually won by team Kitelicious, but their win didn’t come easy as they had to battle tooth and nail to claim the top spot in a closely contested challenge.
Two-time winners Vaiana’s finished in a close second place, followed by Topshape in third, with Prime Foods rounding out the top four.
Kitelicious also took out the fastest time of the day with 55.34 seconds, and won the prize for best-dressed team.
Boasting seasoned paddlers like Joyce Fortes and Keelyn Higgins, Kitelicious also managed a top-place finish in the final of the services/hospitality section.
In the tug-of-war battle it was the powerful Vaiana’s crew who pulled their way to victory however.
This will be the only corporate paddle challenge for 2018, with the 2019 challenge expected to bring even more teams and more exciting V12 racing.
