Some of the best long-drive players in the world will be competing in the Pacific Rim Long Drive Competition hosted by the Rarotonga Golf Club at the Nikao golf course tomorrow.

Australia’s Mateo Dvorani pulled off a massive upset win, defeating Belgium’s Laurens Devos 3-0 at the Under 18 Team Event at the 2018 ITTF Junior Circuit Cook Islands Junior & Cadet Open yesterday.

New Zealand-based Trey Shedlock is expected to give the local contenders a good run for their money in the annual Rarotonga Golf Open Championship this weekend.

Another strong turnout on Wednesday afternoon saw 35 athletes take part in the second relay race in this year’s Rarotonga X Country series.

Rarotonga will host three major international table tennis tournaments, starting tomorrow at the Bluesky Sports Arena.

Athletics Cook Islands will hold an International Association of Athletics Federation (IAAF) Coaches Education and Certification System (CECS1) coaching course next month.

The second relay format for this year’s Rarotonga X Country series strides off this afternoon at Tereora College.
