The daylong tournament on Friday attracted 28 teams who were placed in four pools.
Tupapa defeated Pukapuka 1 to claim the top place, Panama finished third followed by The Squad on fourth place.
Di Senibiakula, the Imanuela Akatemia secretary, said they were grateful for the good weather and for the prayers and good wishes of everyone that made this event a success.
Senibiakula said the school raised over $6000 through cash donations, food stall and registration fees.
“On behalf of our school, I would like to thank our major sponsors Wigmore Superstore, Vodafone Cook Islands, Mai’i Restaurant and Bar, Capital Security Bank and the Imanuela Akatemia parents who sponsored our awesome prizes,” she said.
“It was a great day and everybody enjoyed themselves, the game was smoothly run with the help of Tokoa and Richie from the Volleyball Cook Islands Association handling all complaints or queries about the rules from the team captains.”
The tournament served as a fundraiser for the private school.
“Students pay $1000 a year school fees, but during this pandemic some of our parents are finding it hard to pay school fees. School fees really helps in the school operating fund.”
