Cook Islands claimed bronze medal at the 2020 Oceania Junior Cup tag tournament held at Bruce Pullman Park Takanini from March 6 to 8.

Coach Junior Napara is proud of the team’s achievement and said, they have trained well and their commitment to the sport is well rewarded.

Flagbearer Henry Poiri felt privileged to once again be a part of the team and honoured to be the flag bearer at the event.

“It was such a proud moment to see the excitement in the supporters and young children, to be able to lead and walk them in was an unforgettable experience,” said Poiri.

He acknowledged the parents/grandparents, family and friends for their support in providing transport to training sessions and paying for sports fees.

“It was all worth it in end.”
