Occupation: Waterman Cook Islands

Education: Otumoetai College, Tauranga

Hobbies: Surfing, spearfishing

Current sport: Casual participant in World Ski Series

What inspires you? Getting barrelled at six foot.

How would your friends describe you? Definitely not white-collar.

Favourite Marvel superhero? Arnold Schwarzenegger – let him tell you about ‘the pump’.

What do you do in your free time? Cut grass, feed pigs,  grow the garden.

If you could be any animal in the world, what would you be and why? Melbourne Cup-winning stallions tend to have great careers after their racing days.

Memorable moment in your sports career? I’ll never forget the Olympic Games, but a memorable result was at the World Cup in Duisburg, Germany in 2012, where I raced in the finals of the KI1 200M.

If you could solve one thing in the Cook Islands, what would it be? The current state of the nation’s health and the prevalence of lifestyle-related disease. It all starts in the first aisle of our supermarket`.

Something surprising about yourself? I only eat plants.

Something you are passionate about? Anything salt water.
