Tupapa hosts epic youth netball day

DIEHARD netball fans were treated to an epic day of youth netball talent at the Tupapa courts on Saturday when the island’s six village clubs gathered for week six of the Rising Stars Netball Tournament.

GET YOUR netball fix at the Tupapa courts today, where all Rising Stars Netball Tournament games in the under-17 and U21 age grades will be staged, starting at 11am.

Two Rarotonga-based players have forced their way into the Cook Islands under-21 netball side for the Oceania qualifiers of the 2017 World Youth Netball Championship in Botswana.

TEAM cohesion was a winning formula for the Arorangi Flames Under 21 Rising Stars netball team who came out firing last Saturday to down hosts Avatiu Dragonflies 49-44.

The CIFA Complex will be buzzing with action today as Tupapa Maraerenga gear up for their first clash against Avatiu in the Under 14 Boys and Senior Women’s divisions.

TAKITUMU School had the honour to host what turned out to be the most-hyped primary school netball competition ever at the Bluesky Sports Arena yesterday.

Old SCHOOL village netball drew lovers of the game, young and old, to club courts across Rarotonga for round two of the Rising Stars Netball Championships on Saturday.
