The side was on a bye last week following a tough tussle against Avatiu Nikao Eels in round 11 of the competition a fortnight ago.
Bears lost that match 26-30, despite coming close to producing a major upset in the domestic rugby league competition. Eels eventually surrendered their winless run to Tupapa Panthers following a 13-31 loss last week.
Against the Sharks today, the Bears will be much-favoured, but the former cannot be underestimated as they have proved giantkillers on many occasions.
Sharks have recorded two wins, both against TKV Warriors, with one win by default and the second by a 50-22 thumping. They will be out to prove a point against the Bears in a crucial encounter.
Bears will need a win at any cost to improve their chances of a top-four finish in the weekly competition.
The Bears versus Sharks match will kick off at 4.45pm.
