The meeting earmarked for the Atiu community on Rarotonga will be held at the Atiu Hall, starting at 5pm.
Atiu Rarotonga Sports Association president Simiona Teiotu said the meeting would reveal some vital information about the games held once every three years.
“The meeting is especially for the sports enthusiasts from Atiu living on Rarotonga. The chairman of the Atiu Sports Association from Atiu will be speaking to us in this meeting, outlining the programme for the Manea Games which will be held in October next year,” Teiotu said.
“Through this meeting we hope to gather support from our community here in getting our volunteers, coaches and athletes ready for the games.
“We have established a group of core people from Rarotonga and this meeting will give us an idea on where we are in terms of preparation and other plans for the Manea Games.”
Teiotu said their main priority was supporting their elite athletes who are preparing for the Pacific Games which will be held in Samoa in July.
“Following the Pacific Games, we will start focusing on Manea Games preparation which includes team building as well as fundraising.”
