The sun was shining in Sano as the 2014 Pepsi ICC East Asia-Pacific (EAP) Women’s Trophy kicked off yesterday morning at Tanuma High School and the Sano Cricket Ground.

The Cook Islands, PNG, Samoa, and Vanuatu have joined host nation Japan in Sano ahead of the 2014 Pepsi ICC East Asia-Pacific Women’s Trophy that begins today.

Tama ‘Captain Tama’ Tuavera presents the Red Hot Chicks women’s cricket team, with their cash prize sponsored by Captain Tama’s Cruizes, after taking out the Easter Monday super six women’s cricket competition.

Domestic League cricket drew to a close after an emphatic victory for the World XI men’s team over Pukapuka XI at Turangi Oval last Saturday.

The Avana women’s cricket team will be flying high this month as they prepare to head to Mangaia for a series against the local female cricketers on Auau.
