Avatiu Eels maintained their unbeaten run in the Raro Cars Rugby League competition after a superb win on Saturday.

The Eels defeated Tupapa Panthers 28-20 at a soggy Victoria Park. In the other premier match, defending champions Ngatangiia Matavera Sea Eagles overcame Arorangi Bears 28-20.

Town won the women’s match beating Country 32-0.

Avatiu Eels have taken the lead in the Raro Cars Rugby League competition after a superb win against former champions Tupapa Panthers on Saturday.

An exciting round of Touch competition is expected today at Nikao field.

Three Tupapa players were banned from playing in the regional club competition after failing to confirm their immunisation for measles.
