WE’RE BEHIND NZ
In a front page story in CINews on December 21 there was a story saying how visiting New Zealand Corrections staff were shocked at prison conditions here. Shocked at what exactly? No gang members, no access to meth, no fight clubs, no unspeakable abuse? Well, sorry guys, we can’t please everybody!
EVILS OF METH
Meth should be called what it is, a turbocharger to Hell. Anyone who thinks it’s anything else has not seen the damage it can do, it’s pure evil and it is definitely not wanted in our country.
SUPPORT FOR MINING
Can someone please tell me how deputy prime minister Mark Brown can claim the majority of Cook Islanders support seabed mineral mining when only 20 or 30 people turned up to each of his draft legislation consultation meetings on Rarotonga? I don’t know how many people attended the outer islands meetings on average, but it wouldn’t have been much more than the Rarotonga ones.
The fact is, many many Cook Islanders here and in other countries are totally opposed to seabed mining – and for good reason.
