DOLLARS & SENSE

Isn’t it ironic that in Saturday’s paper Mark Brown said that they have been preparing for Te Maeva Nui for over a year and can’t cut back now on the $3 million cost, yet in the same paper, different story, he can’t explain why there is insufficient storage capacity for Penrhyn’s water tanks, when the shortages have been happening for years? Too much money, not enough sense methinks – but that’s understandable because Te Mato Vai is going to cost $100 million and is still in the pipeline. Or is that a pipe dream?
