As lawyer Wilkie Rasmussen said, "the appeal isn't against Te Hani, it's against a point of law."
And the outcome of that "point of law" appeal is definitely in the interests of the public. What I take from all this, is that the Demo Party's appeal further emphasises the degree of desperation emanating from Brown's legal team’s illogical waste-of-time application, which will amount to nothing. Go figure!
Like the Demos and Glassie know, appealing any High Court judgment is everybody's legal and democratic right; Glassie is well within his rights to pursue an appeal.
